It's what happens when we band together and take a stand to make the world a better place. We have a choice and with that choice comes great opportunity. It's estimated that a "GREEN" home has a 28% higher resale value. This means that our new "GREEN Rehabbing" movement will make a HUGE impact not only on the environment but also on the economy.

We can choose to live on the cutting edge and use only the right products to renovate our homes. Products that help us breathe better, live better and feel better. Stuff that's made from "greener" ingredients and is manufactured with little or no impact on the environment.

Project Green Life will be a FREE simple to use online tool that anyone can use to design a GREEN renovation strategy. We are making this tool completely free so homeowners, investors, agents, and others will finally have an easy way to figure out how different products affect a home's impact on the environment. It's the first tool of its kind and will change the way that home renovations are done around the world.

It will run from the Realeflow (www.realeflow.com) platform, already used by thousands of people, and include the industry standard Degree of Green (www.degreeofgreen.com) product scoring system.

The PGL (project green life) score can then be used to show to the world an independent 3rd party numerical ranking of your home's green-friendliness. The Degree of Green scoring system rates products on their health, environmental impact, and sustainability, the PGL score will rate the entire project.

Sustainability means this wonderful planet will be enjoyed for generations to come. It means that the future is now - and we need to learn all we can about how our choices can really make a difference.

We're looking to launch in Spring of 2009 so if you'd like to be a part of this exciting new initiative then please just give us your name and email above and we'll keep you in the loop all the way through the launch!

It takes 60 trees just to frame a new house. By remodeling using the same wood frame, together we will have saved a minimum of 60,000,000 trees which is over half a million acres or the entire forest area of Rhode Island and Delaware plus the entire farming area of Wyoming, significantly reducing smog and overall air pollution and reducing its harmful effects on us ranging from minor pain to deadly respiratory and lung diseases such as lung cancer. By using rubber as an alternative to asphalt roofing, we will save 3,100,000,000 sq ft of shingles which adds up to 11 million tons of asphalt shingle waste, while recycling nearly 300 million discarded car tires per year. That's another 3,000,000 tons of landfill space saved. When we reach our goal, we will save 14 million tons of landfill space, or the total amount of garbage created by 4,242 people in an entire year. Click Here to learn more.
By using just 2 water conservation methods such as high efficiency toilets and energy efficient faucets, together we can save 3,002,200,000 gallons of water per year which can supply more than half of the total fresh water demand per year for the entire population of Mexico. By using solar water heating systems, we will avoid putting 84,000,000,000 metric tons of carbon emissions into the atmosphere each year which will have a positive effect on the 9.7 million square mile (just larger than the entire area of North America) hole in the ozone layer. If we cut down carbon emissions, there is a potential for the hole in the ozone to recover by the year 2067. If we do nothing, of the more than 1 million cases of skin cancer each year, more than 10,000 will die each year in the U.S. alone, and skin cancer rates will triple by the year 2040. Environmentally friendly ventilation systems will eliminate the use of interior finishes that release toxins, significantly increasing the quality of indoor air. Together we will be able to save 4,500 lives across the U.S. and $60,000,000,000 in lost productivity each year due to sickness from poor air quality related illnesses. Click Here to learn more.
By using energy efficient systems, we will save 45 Billion pounds of carbon dioxide emissions each year, reducing global warming on Earth. Together we will be able to save the 1,000 additional deaths annually in the U.S. caused by each increase of 1 degree Celcius due to carbon emissions. Click Here to learn more.
By deconstructing homes and remodeling them instead of demolishing them, we will save 8,000,000,000,000 pounds of debris and 50,000,000 cubic yards of landfill space. Together we will save the space of an entire landfill to be used as a new forest area. The average 600 acre landfill will allow us to plant 181,800 new trees and for every ton of new wood that grows, about 1.5 tons of CO2 are removed from the air and 1.07 tons of life-giving oxygen are produced. During a 50-year life span, 181,800 trees will generate $5,454,000,000 in oxygen, recycle $6,363,000,000 worth of water, and clean up $10,908,000,000 worth of air pollution or $22,725,000,000 total per tree. By using fly ash for driveways instead of concrete, together we will save 1,397,000,000 tons of concrete and 44 billion BTUs of energy annually in the U.S. while preventing the mercury content of the fly ash from seeping into the food and water supply. Mercury can cause permanent or fatal damage to the brain and kidneys, as well as cause neurological damage and death. Click Here to learn more.
